Kuba

KUBA KISIEL - CEO | MUSICIAN | CREATOR OF AIP | DRUMMER & DREAMER | TEACHER |

Music saved my life and helped me connect with the world and with myself in a friendlier way. Playing in bands was my first experience of real relationships and real friends. (It was in one of those bands that I met the future vice president of AIP, Mateusz Żyglicki – bass player.)

School was nuclear bad for me. My sister Ula was the one who brought music into my life. I kept stealing her cassettes of Stone Temple Pilots, Alice in Chains, or Chick Corea Elektric Band with Gary Novak, whose solo knocked me into the couch for years:D

I started playing drums very young. As a teenager I needed money, so I began teaching drums. Through that I learned how to teach and realized that playing and practicing are two different things. I also discovered that just because I was failing at school didn’t mean I was stupid. I understood that the standard school system is a huge mistake. I started creating my own methods and tested them on different students. It turned out I wasn’t a bad teacher, so I got accepted into a music school. As an adult I worked for 11 years as a drum teacher.

Since I wanted to move out of my family home as soon as possible, I had to figure out how to make a living from drums. I got jobs in the Opera, the Drama Theatre, and of course played in small clubs like every musician. I was also deeply into audio technology: first sound systems, then studio mixing. I started looking differently at drummers’ everyday problems: too much gear, too loud, and the terrible feel of electronic drums, which I tested all of them!! (So many loans and borrowed money for that…) At 19 I went to the UK to work in construction to earn money for parts to build my own hybrid drum kit… lots of cash, lots of gear, but I didn’t even have a driver’s license because in my country it cost the same as a Zildjian K Dark 16” crash:D

I was always jealous of guitarists – they had a small, quiet instrument that they could plug into different little boxes with buttons, create amazing effects, and then reproduce the same effect live on stage. That was awesome. I started integrating different elements-PA systems, studio work, microphones, computers-sound engineering in general, room acoustics, sound behavior. I went deeper into basics of electronics, while still practicing drums a lot.

Living in the UK I had a serious accident, which left me with mobility issues, so I spent a lot of time thinking about my next move. The best conditions for development and for working on drums came when I lived in Iceland for 5 years. And when I was ready, I founded AIP with amazing people, my friends.

Mateusz

MATEUSZ ŻYGLICKI - Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

For more than a decade, I have been working in the manufacturing and metal industry, gaining experience both on the production floor and in technical development. Operating in an environment that demands precision, innovation, and attention to detail has taught me to approach every project not only from a technological perspective but also with a focus on quality and durability.

Today, I bring this knowledge and expertise into the development of a modern drum set, a project I am creating together with my partners. I am responsible for the technical side – from concept design and material selection to implementing unique construction solutions not yet available on the market. My goal is to combine the reliability of industrial craftsmanship with a passion for music, creating an instrument that inspires drummers and opens up entirely new possibilities.

BARTŁOMIEJ SKRZYCKI - Chief Operating Officer (COO)

I follow the principle that in business and in life, we always meet people, not companies, institutions, or corporations. I have many years of experience in global financial corporations such as Provident Polska, Citigroup, Deutsche Bank, and GE Money Bank BPH, where I managed dispersed international teams of several dozen people. The next stage was the IT industry, where I successfully introduced two international LIMS software brands to the Polish market: Eusoft and Labvantage, and also collaborated with Thermo Fisher Scientific and StarLims.

Today, I focus on revolutionizing the global music and percussion market at AIP, where my team and I are building a scalable business based on a groundbreaking audio product. I implement sales and operational structures from scratch, use artificial intelligence to optimize processes, and develop the organization in a remote-first model, combining many years of experience in managing international teams with the flexibility of a startup approach. I am fascinated by new technologies, changing trends, and innovative sales methods that respond to customers’ as-yet-unrealized needs.

I see the future in hybrid leadership models, where leaders constantly learn from younger generations and adapt their businesses to a dynamically changing world. I believe that the key to success is the courage to modify plans while sticking to the main goal. That is why I amoptimistic about the development of AIP, a project that not only draws on global experience but also sets new standards in the music industry. I am convinced that with an innovative product, courage in action, and the ability to adapt, we can realistically change the global audio market.
